OFFLINE ONLINE
Every click, tap and browse escalates the merging of both the online and offline identity, blurring the autonomy of the individual online  and offline. Hence, reducing this initial equal relationship to a more transactional one, quantified by the action of ‘FOLLOW’ where the actions of said online individual is scrutinised under the currency of this self perceived ‘part-ownership’ from their followers.

Interestingly, at the peak of this online world, it is often forgotten that the existence and sustenance of this online world and identity relies arguably pathetically on variables that could disappear or deteriorate at any moment - electricity from nonrenewable energy sources, the fickle opinions of heavy social media users and ever changing consumerism strategies.

Thus, this series of images aims to explore this obsession and addiction in fixating our attention and energy on online individuals, holding their actions to a standard we would not apply to ourselves.
